I love pretty much all shoes, but my very favorite shoe designer is undoubtedly Loeffler Randall. I purchased my first pair of Loeffler Randall heels several years ago, and I'm still wearing them. Like literally, I'm wearing them as I write this. I'm super excited about LR's spring line. Here's a few of my faves this season:

Rose Gold Jewelry

One trend that I really love is rose gold jewelry. I don't know if trend is the right word, since rose gold has been used in jewelry for a long time. It just seems that it's become a lot more popular in the last few years than in years past. While I love rose gold, I don't think I look very good in it, so usually I just ooh and aah over jewelry I find. That's okay. Saves me money! Which  of these do you like? Do you partake in this trend or do you stick to more traditional metals?

Design Your Own...From Jonathan Adler

I just love Jonathan Adler and stop by his website periodically to check out what's new. The other day, I discovered a feature that I hadn't seen before. The website now allows you to design your own pillow, throw, tote, or rug! There are a ton of patterns and colors to choose from. Even though some of the items are kind of expensive, it doesn't cost anything to play around with the feature! Here are some of the things I created, but I'm sure you design-type people could do much better!

BHLDN

I'm sure most people have heard about BHLDN by now. In case you haven't, it's basically Anthropologie's version of a wedding shop. They have the most gorgeous gowns and jewelry, all reasonably priced and mostly with a bohemian feel. But I didn't know until this week that they also sell amazing home decor and party supplies!

Is This Really Strange? Just Checking.

When I was young, I always wanted to be tall. In middle school, I had a super-tall friend who literally rested her elbows on my head. At just a hair under 5'2", I'm definitely on the short side. It's not that short, but enough so that I can rarely reach the top shelf of anything, my 11-year-old son is almost as tall as me, and people's dogs weigh more than me. People also tend to think that I'm at least 5 years younger than I am, based on my height alone. Not that I'm complaining about that.

However, on the plus side, I can sometimes buy the children's version of clothing for cheaper than the adult version. On a recent shopping trip, I bought this in the children's department at Zara for $45:

 There isn't an exact match in the women's department but this coat is $90:

Not bad, right? Does anyone else do this? Would you if you could? Or am I just really strange? It's okay if I am.

Carry-On Bags

I travel quite a bit, so I've gotten packing my carry-on bag down to a science. I'm not one of those amazing girls who can fit everything they need for 3 days into a carry-on suitcase. No, I'm one of those girls who has to pack a full-on suitcase for a long weekend, including outfits for every conceivable event and multiple shoe possibilities for all weather conditions. Therefore, my carry-on bag usually just contains my "essentials" for the flight, and something to wear in case my luggage gets lost (quelle horreur!)

I'm not actually in the market for a new carry-on bag, but if I was, I'd probably choose one of these. All of these bags have top-zip closures, which if you ask me, is essential for plane travel. Plus, you can sling all of these over your shoulder, or you can carry on your arm. The best thing? These bags aren't TOO big, so they can double as a regular purse. You see? You're actually saving room. Good for you.

Things I Love: Laser Cut Furniture

One thing I am crazy about is laser cut furniture. (Actually, laser cut shoes, clothes, and jewelry too, but that's another post) I purchased a pair of laser cut cabinets a couple of years ago. Since then, I've noticed laser cut pieces popping up here and there. By far and away, my favorite maker of these pieces is Brocade Home. I love every single thing they offer, but I'm just dying to get these:

I've also noticed this trend from other companies. The colors and finishes make the pieces modern and contemporary, while the intricate cuts are reminiscent of traditional Moorish and Moroccan furniture. Here are a few of my faves:

It seems that the cold weather has come a little early this year. The unseasonably low temperatures, combined with my incredibly low tolerance for cold, have left my poor fingers and toes feeling like ice. ERIN by Erin Fetherston

Erin Fetherston has to be one of my favorite designers. Most of her designs are soft, flowy, pretty, romantic and ethereal. Her offshoot line, ERIN by Erin Fetherston, has an amazing Resort 2012 collection. It's not available yet, as far as I can tell, but it must be coming soon. Not only is this collection beautiful, but it's also much less expensive than her original line. Most pieces will be priced at less than $375. I. Cannot. Wait.

Light Fall Scarves

It's definitely autumn around here, but it's still not THAT cold. Definitely not cool enough to warrant a full-on winter scarf. I get cold easily, though, so until winter sets in, I'll be using lighter, summer-weight scarves to keep me warm.

Today, I'm loving the combination of coral and gray. It's perfect for fall - a variation on the classic autumnal pairing of orange and brown.

Every chair needs a good throw blanket

The chair in my master bedroom needs one, in any case. I've been redoing my bedroom in fits and starts, but I've really been focusing on it lately. Probably because of this blog and all the inspiration I've gotten from other people. Most of the bedroom is gray and white with touches of teal here and there. And it is a VERY specific shade of teal. I am in the process of finding the absolute perfect cover for the pillow on the chair, but that's proven to be harder than I expected. But I have to; the pillow that came with the chair is way too simple for me.

New Accessories for the Master Bath

I am simultaneously redoing our master bedroom and the master bath. Actually, I work on the bathroom whenever I get stuck waiting for purchases to arrive. Right now, it's a little out of the question to completely renovate the bathroom with new tile, fixtures, and paint (which is what I really want.) In the meantime, I have to be content with updating the look.

Since I'd like to completely redo the bathroom in the near future, I'm not planning on spending a whole lot of money on this update. Most of the items are from Pottery Barn and World Market. However, I do want to splurge on this Kelly Hoppen wallpaper for the little tub alcove.

Indian Summer

My favorite thing about living in San Diego is the weather. Having great weather all year round means that I can wear the dresses and skirts that I love without freezing. Right now, it's 90 degrees out. This weekend is supposed to be a little cooler... around 80 degrees. I love it!
